Nanchang University's materials science, chemistry, clinical medicine and engineering have entered the top 1% of the world ESI. It is a traditional superiority discipline in Jiangxi Province. The direction of light health (Professor Wang Xiaolei) is one of the core cross-cutting directions of the above four major disciplines. It is also one of the six core directions of Nanchang University's national dual-class discipline construction.

On September 14th, Vice President Jiang Fengyi and Director of the Department of Health and Development, Director Zhang Ning, Deputy Director Wang Hanlin, Director Li Yili came to our hospital to investigate the direction of the development of national dual-class disciplines of light health materials. During the investigation, Professor Wang Xiaolei, Director Lai Zhiqiang and Professor Deng Libin introduced the basic situation of the institute.

In the subsequent special report meeting, Professor Wang Xiaolei reported on the direction of light health materials in the field of infrared light-targeted thrombolysis, visible light hydrogen production, yellow light non-destructive oral whitening, anti-blue light eye-protection film, fluorescent anti-tumor nano-cluster and other fields’s scientific and technological achievements; Introduced the discipline construction concept of “new, useful and influential” in the direction of light health materials. After the report, Vice President Jiang Fengyi fully affirmed and supported the Institute's focus on multidisciplinary, basic research and application transformation.
