Founded in December 2009, Nanchang University Institute of Translational Medicine has a laboratory space of approximately 10,000 square meters. It is a high-level scientific research institution jointly established by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and Nanchang University. It is a collection of basic medical research, clinical research and product development. As one, it is a high-level research and development base for the whole province. The institute has been approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and the Science and Technology Department as “High-level Engineering Research Center for Translational Medicine in Jiangxi Province” and “Jiangxi Provincial Translational Medicine Engineering Technology Research Center”, and has become China’s translational medicine and biotechnology industry alliance. The first member (executive director unit) and the "Jiangxi Province Translational Medicine Knowledge Innovation Team". The Institute has the following five research centers: 1. Cardiovascular Disease Research Center; 2. Cancer and Metabolic Disease Research Center; 3. Genomics Research and Bioinformatics Center; 4. Transgenic Mouse Center; 5. Biotechnology And biopharmaceutical research and development center.
The Institute aims to integrate the existing scientific and technological strengths of Nanchang University's existing basic and clinical related disciplines, focusing on the needs of national and Jiangxi science and technology development plans, focusing on major human diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, malignant tumors and metabolic diseases. , comprehensive research and application development of translational medicine.
