Cardiovascular

The Cardiovascular Disease Research Center of the Institute of Translational Medicine of Nanchang University was officially approved by the school in 2009. It is a professional scientific research institution with a combination of teaching and learning. In this study, it is an important part of “Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Translational Medicine”, “High-level Engineering Technology Research Center of Translational Medicine in Jiangxi Province” and “Jiangxi Biopharmaceutical and Biotechnology 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center”. The Cardiovascular Research Center is the director of the Research Center by Professor Xin Hongbo, Distinguished Professor of the Yangtze River Scholars of the Ministry of Education. The main research direction of the center is to target cardiovascular diseases that are seriously endangering human health, to engage in the basic and transformational studies of cardiovascular diseases, and to identify the occurrence and development of diseases including cardiac hypertrophy, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, and atherosclerosis. On this basis, the molecular mechanism of genetic alteration affecting the occurrence and development of cardiovascular disease was studied, and new target genes for cardiovascular disease were screened and obtained, in order to find new targets for drug prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
At present, there are 19 members in the research center, including 1 Changjiang Scholar, 2 visiting professors, 3 associate researchers, 8 assistant researchers, and 5 experimental technicians. He presided over and undertook one “973” sub-project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Major Research Project 2 project, the Ministry of Science and Technology “one major new drug special project”, two surface projects, and 15 regional and youth funds. The Center has established a comprehensive set of rules and regulations to form a research and innovation team that crosses molecular biology, vascular biology, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and biological materials.
