Title: Construction of a bionic microenvironment system for regenerative medicine and disease model
Lecturer:Yang Yong Associate Professor Research
Dr. Yang Yong is an associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Texas, and director of the Micro-Nano Engineering Medical Laboratory. His work is mainly to clarify the interaction between cells and microenvironment by constructing a biomimetic platform, and to use these platforms to study the fate of stem cells in regenerative medicine, and to construct physiologically relevant microscale systems or tissue microarrays in human disease research, diagnosis and the role of treatment. His research has been funded by NIH and NSF research, and has published more than 30 papers in internationally renowned journals such as Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, JACS and Nano Letters, and has made more than 80 scientific reports and obtained 4 international patents.
Dr. Yang Yong graduated from the Ohio State University with a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biomolecular Engineering, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded Nanoscience Engineering Center, where he worked on inexpensive nano polymer bioreactors. He was then an assistant professor and associate professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University.
