Xin Hongbo – Dean

Xin Hongbo, born in November 1959, a member of the Jiu San Society, a native of Jiangxi, a professor of education, a professor of education, a postgraduate degree, a doctoral degree, a doctoral tutor, and a vice president of Nanchang University. He is currently a member of the American Society of Biophysics and the American Diabetes Association, and the Chinese Society of Biophysics, the Committee of Neurophysical Physics and Neuroinformatics (NBPC). Currently, he is mainly engaged in the physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology research of myocardial, skeletal and smooth muscle sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium release channels. His thesis has been published in internationally renowned academic journals such as Nature, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Nucleic Acids Research, Proc Natl Acad SCI USA, and Circulation Research and other publications. He has published more than 60 papers and has one monograph. The main research directions are: 1) the role of sarcoplasmic reticulum or endoplasmic reticulum calcium mobilization in excitatory-contraction coupling of muscle cells such as myocardium, femoral muscle and smooth muscle, and excitatory-secretion coupling of endocrine glands such as islet β cells. 2) functional genomics studies in mice; 3) development of genetic and bioengineered drugs. Now obtained an international patent: "Vectors for conditional gene inactivation; inventor: Hong-Bo Xin, Michael I. Kotlikoff; patent number: US Patent-7449179 ; Authorization date: November 11, 2008". There are 3 domestic authorized patents and 40 patent applications.
